The Children's Museum

My mom treated us to the Kohl's Children's Museum just before she headed home. My kids have only been there once, and it was almost 2 years ago, so the whole museum was an adventure for them. "Museum" is the wrong word for this place (because that sounds boring to me)- it's more like a large activity center.

Grocery Shopping with Daphne
Daphne completely adored the grocery room. She knew just what to do throughout the store, copying her mother in so many ways.
Feeling the fruit to see if it's ripe
Pushing her shopping cart
Scanning items at checkout
Manually entering a coupon when it wouldn't scan
(just kidding)

Music Room
This drum had confetti inside that
bounced around when beating on it
Dayton putting the song in correct order

Water Room
The kids returned to the water room a few times. They both really enjoyed this balls water game.
Dayton was a pro at catching balls from the waterfall
with his net, then sending them back through the tube.
Daphne scooping balls up from the water
And mostly she was splashing around

She amused me the way she pushed buttons with her
elbows so she could reach her hands out to the water spray

Auto Center

Driving the fixed vehicle

Nursery

Daphne was a pro at taking care of the babies. She put blankets and clothes on them, rocked them, and made bottles for them.

Face Painting
Daphne sure loved this station. She came back to it a few times to add more color!
First some pink
Then add green and yellow (and more pink)
And lots of blue and green
Video of Daphne doodling away on her face
I think she felt like a big girl putting on makeup

Grocery Shopping with Dayton

Ordering from the bakery
Serving from inside the bakery
Pushing his full cartChecking out with Nana, Daphne, and Dayton
Daphne loved the coupons!

Can you tell who usually does deal-shopping with me?

Extra Rooms and Activities

Dayton allowed me to paint his face,
but only in an orderly fashion:
a heart and a dinosaur

Daphne's favorites were definitely grocery shopping and face painting. Dayton was all over the place and bounced from activity to activity- I'm guessing he enjoyed the water room the most. We're excited to go back when Nana and Grandpa come visit in July.

And yes, Mom- you beat me at posting this... but my post has videos!
