The Bean Museum

First of all, the museum is not focused on beans. It's the Monte L Bean Museum on campus at BYU, but we call it the Bean Museum. Derrick and I visited this museum before we had kids, and we've wanted to take our kids there ever since. The museum is completely full of every kind of taxidermy animals, bugs, birds, fish, etc. Dayton and Daphne loved running around to look at all the animals.
Dayton and Daphne by a jaguar
Dayton pointing to a rhino
Looking at some bears
Dayton brought his toy fishing pole,
and he was fishing for animals

Daphne at the end of a wall full of heads
Dayton opening his mouth like the hippo
A porcupine- it was neat to see close-up
Dayton and Nana
Flexible Daphne
I loved whenever the kids pointed out animals from movies;
Dayton said this giraffe was Melman from Madagascar

Nana helped the kids play a scavenger hunt
looking for animals around the museum
Dayton circled each animal as they found it
This warthog was part of the scavenger hunt;
it looked like Pumba from the Lion King
A bear from the scavenger hunt
A spider from the scavenger hunt
We timed our visit with the Live Reptile Show;
The kids got to touch a snake, a turtle, and an iguana
