Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
We loved the Pumpkin Patch at Didier Farms last year, so we visited it again this year. Daddy didn't have school today!
We visited in the morning, which was the wrong time of day for rides. Our family would cost $40 for admittance to the carnival area in the morning, with unlimited rides. In the afternoon, we would be admitted for free, but then pay ride by ride for our kids (and of course we were only planning on one or two rides, about $10). Since it was morning, we had to pass on the rides- too expensive. Dayton was disappointed because he remembered riding the ferris wheel by himself last year, and he wanted to do it again. I was sad to see my children miss out on this fun opportunity because of cost, but we dream of being able to afford extra fun and entertainment for our kids someday...

Michelle, your kids are very lucky to have two parents so devoted to them. You may not have been able to do rides but what you're giving them is much better! I think more parents need to do those things even though its hard- you make sacrifices to be able to stay home with them, etc. Look at our country and the financial messes people create trying to keep up and overspending- I think its important to teach our kids that its okay to do without sometimes. Even though they're little, they can still learn valuable lessons from us regarding work and spending habits.
It looks like you guys had so much fun! I love the pumpkin patch!
Can you believe that the picture at the top of your blog was from last year when we went to the pumpkin patch together?! Crazy how fast time can move! Glad you guys made it out there again... that was a fun time!
