Daphne's 2 Year Portraits

We recently took Daphne's 2 year portraits. Our theme was "Slumber Party" because Daphne loves pretending to take naps (she even makes me turn off the lights when she's "sleeping"), and she also puts her babies down for naps daily. We brought a pillow, blanket, a baby, and popcorn. I bribed her to wear pigtails- I told her she couldn't play on the toys at the mall if she didn't wear pigtails. It worked!

Ice Cream
Right after Daphne's portraits, we redeemed her coupon for a free b-day scoop of ice cream.
We all made silly faces for the camera

Potty Charts

A few weeks ago we made potty charts for each of the kids. The goal for Dayton's chart was to wake up in the morning with a dry diaper; we wanted him to be completely done with bedtime diapers. The goal for Daphne's chart was pooping on the potty, because she occasionally uses the potty if she wants to, so we added a little encouragement. The prize for filling their charts was a trip to Chuck E Cheese! The kids filled their charts in about 2 weeks. Dayton has been diaper-free for 3+ weeks now! But Daphne still only uses the potty occasionally- oh well.

Chuck E Cheese

So after Daphne's portraits and ice cream, we spent an hour at Chuck E Cheese to reward the kids.
Derrick enjoyed teaching Dayton how to play some games
Daphne LOVED this ball toss game;
she played it over and over and over
The game generously gave her one ticket each time she played

Daphne looks like a big girl in her pigtails. I noticed Derrick has a new picture. Congratulations Dayton!
