Derrick's 7 Quirks

In honor of his birthday today...

Derrick won't do these, so I'm doing them for him.

1. Derrick insists that groceries in a cart must be placed in a certain order; heavy items in back, lighter items in front. He moves things around after I toss something in (which doesn't bug me because I re-do so many things after he does them). Also, he believes in being in and out of the store in 30 minutes.

2. His biggest pet peeve is being late (I think his slow wife brought on this peeve- now with two kids, we're even later!).

3. His second biggest pet peeve is traffic. He always wants to take the quickest routes, avoid congestion, and gets frustrated catching red light after red light. He'll even change lanes to move forward one car at a stoplight, or to avoid being behind a slow-moving vehicle because they don't get up and go off the line!

4. When he's eating a hamburger, the tomatoes on his burger must be sliced thin. He's corrected me before when I was slicing them wrong.

5. He likes some weird food concoctions: he mixes applesauce with milk and cinnamon, he adds hot sauce to his tomato soup, and he puts potato chips on his sloppy joe's. If any of this sounds good to you, be my guest and try it! He thinks it's all delicious.

6. He has an obsession with electronics. He would always love to have the latest and greatest gadget (don't worry, his wife won't let him have everything). He reads articles and watches reviews on new technology coming out. He takes AMAZING care of his prized electronic possessions (mp3 player, laptop, gps); really, he cleans his laptop screen once a week.

7. If he recognizes an actor/actress on a tv show or movie, it drives him crazy until he can figure out where he's seen that person before; really, he can't sleep! Oh wait, that's just me... Thank goodness for imdb.com!
