Derrick earned a residency in Boston MA- he matched with the Steward St Elizabeth Hospital! Derrick's friend Dave works at that hospital. Today was Match Day when the official results came out for residencies.
We're excited for Boston. We have very dear friends at the same residency, so we won't be alone out there. Boston is VERY far away from family in WA state (a 6-hour plane flight, if you get non-stop.) We won't enjoy the distance from everyone, but we're treating the next 3 years as an adventure. Home is wherever you make it, and in June we're making our home in Boston. Go Red Sox!
