In Primary yesterday, Dayton learned about the Iron Rod (from the Book of Mormon). The Iron Rod represents a righteous path to follow leading to eternal life. The teacher had a demonstration for kids to walk along the Iron Rod, but there wasn't enough time for everyone to have a turn. Dayton was disappointed, so I promised him we would do the Iron Rod for Family Home Evening tonight. My mom took a long pole from her quilting machine; we propped it up and put a picture of Christ at the end, representing the Tree of Life.

Next Nana taught the kids how to play London Bridges

Then we did webcam with Daddy (in Chicago);
Daphne wanted to read her new favorite book to him: Clam I Am

Cute idea. We had a Primary day in our stake last year with a BoM theme, and one of the wards did an iron rod with string, and at the end they had a tree taped to the wall with packs of fruit snacks on it for the fruit. Maybe another good idea to do sometime. :)
