Our Pet Snake Hiss

Grandpa brought home a snake for the kids yesterday.  We had a busy evening with Dayton's recital, so we didn't get to spend time with the snake until today.  The kids named our snake Hiss (like the snake in Robin Hood.)  After breakfast we went outside to find some snake food.

Feeding time!   We fed him 5 pill bugs (rolly pollies), 

2 spiders, a centipede, and 4 small worms.

 The snake didn't appear to eat anything, but the bugs were 

crawling all over Hiss and he was sniffing with his tongue.

Then Daphne brought Hiss to preschool for Show & Tell today (we called ahead for permission first.)  Everyone loved our pet snake!  We taped the jar closed at a teacher's request, so Hiss stayed in the jar.  After school we checked on his food supply, and it appears Hiss at the spiders and worms, but left the centipede and pill bugs.
