How to Keep Kids Cavity-Free

The trick I learned from my mom about good oral hygiene for kids: sealant!  It's a plastic coating that fills in the crevices in molars to keep food out and prevent cavities.  I had it on my teeth growing up.  I found out that our insurance covers sealant for the kids, so we squeezed appointments in before we move.

Dayton had a harder time with the process because his hygienist used extra tools in his mouth that were uncomfortable (Daphne's hygienist only used her fingers.)  He was screaming that they were hurting him- nobody likes tools scraping and poking their gums.  So another lady came in to help his procedure finish quickly.

Their sealant is supposed to last for 2 years, which will be when a new set of teeth is coming in.
