Daphne's Last Day of Gymnastics

Today was Daphne's last day of gymnastics here in Chehalis.  She did it once a week for 2 months, but we are moving soon so we didn't sign her up for another session.  Daphne love her teacher, Cheyenne.  Daphne's favorite things to do at gymnastics are: the trampoline, hanging over the foam pit, and jumping into the foam pit.  She learned tuck, straddle, and pike leg positions, plus many stretches.  Cheyenne's class was all girls, so she taught things in a girly way: Daphne's great at pointing her toes, doing "pretty kicks," gluing her arms up to her ears, and making pretty fingers.

Unrelated Note:
Tonight after the kids went to bed, Dayton scampered back out of bed to tell Nana that Daphne needs a bowl because she feels like throwing up.  We weren't too alarmed because Daphne had been merry just before bed, but Nana gave him a bowl and he went back to bed.  Then he came back out to pass along a message from Daphne- "She feels like she's going to throw up in the next few days, so she should stay home from school tomorrow."  Wow- she can predict nausea several days in advance!

I never got to see her do gymnastics. I am glad she got a chance to try it out.
