Lazy Week

Derrick did not have any school this past week. We had BIG PLANS for his break. We discussed possibilities of going to the Jelly Belly Factory, maybe the Zoo, cutting both kids' hair, weening Daphne off her pacifier, potty-training Dayton (this was a high aspiration), etc. Plus Derrick was going to take the kids to the park and the library a few times so I could have some free time at home.

As it turned out, NONE of this happened. Aside from going to a church picnic, we did NOTHING all week.

We spent the week being sick. We passed around a cold and a 2-day stomach flu. Derrick and I spent almost all day every day taking turns napping. In our 'free' time, we cleaned up vomit and put in new DVDs for the kids to watch on tv.
Oh yeah. We live life to the fullest.

And Derrick starts classes again today. But at least we're feeling better.

That is so sad that you couldn't have fun on his week off. But if you ever want to go to Brookfield Zoo we have season passes(atleast for the next 2 months) and can get guests in free.

oh man! That is no fun! Go figure, you actually get free time with your husband and all that happens. Blah. But you get points for at least planning all the wonderful things you wanted to do. Execution of the plans is for next time.
