Dayton splashing down a small slide
The kids spent a lot of time in the 1-ft deep water, walking around on their hands and letting their bodies float behind them. It was a slow way to get around!
Daphne hand-walking
My cute girl
Daphne liked wandering through tunnels of the pirate ship
The tall, fast slides were for intertubes. The first time we climbed up with the kids, they both decided not to slide when they saw the stream of water they would have to slide through, and both kids don't like water on their faces. The second time we climbed up, we convinced the kids to cover their eyes through the waterfall; Derrick took Dayton down on the tube, and I took Daphne down on the tube. Dayton LOVED his ride, and Daphne didn't like hers. It was too fast for Daphne and she felt uneasy. Daphne didn't do the big slides again.
Dayton and Daddy splashing down the BIG slide

once he realized how much fun they were
He was so happy every time he came down
We were so proud of Dayton's bravery on the slides, because we hadn't expected him to be so bold. Daphne was great at inventing fun ways to enjoy the water, and we were proud she was willing to try a big slide as well. We loved every bit of this family vacation. Derrick and I are excited for when the kids are a few years older so we can take them on amusement rides- we love roller coasters!

After the "raft" incident I didn't think you would get Daphne in the water again! I am also surprised with Dayton, looks like daddy has a partner on all the thrill rides.
