Daphne has been growing out her hair for over 2 years. It's beautiful when it's down straight, french braided, in a bun, down wavy/curly, in pigtails, etc. But it's also a lot of work, and she loses patience after baths when we have to brush out the knots. So after her 5-year portraits we all agreed to cut off her hair. She had enough to donate to Locks of Love (wigs for children with cancer); the minimum length to donate is 10 inches, and she had between 13-15 inches to spare.
We sectioned off the hair
And then made the scary, no-turning-back CUT!
Daphne now has a wonderful, light, summery bob!
Here's how much we chopped off, held up as pigtails.
