Today and tomorrow we have constant snowfall; both days of school are canceled. My kids remember the blizzard from last winter (more than 2 feet of snow) so they got really excited hoping this would be a blizzard. I think this is being called a near-blizzard. It's not terribly windy, and the snow is very light, but it sure is COLD! That didn't stop us from going sledding today! We walked down to the kids' elementary school because it has a nice slope for sledding.

I didn't love being out in the very-far-below-freezing weather, so we headed home when my toes were bitten with cold and it was getting dark. The hill at the school was perfect because the kids kept sledding without their legs getting tired. But of course when we had to walk 6
blocks up the hill to our house, then their legs were suddenly
fatigued.
